Eigentlich wollte er aussteigen, seine Vergangenheit hinter sich lassen und sich eine beschauliche Existenz als Skipper für Bootsausflüge in der tropischen Inselwelt Mikronesiens aufbauen. Doch da tritt die hübsche Reporterin Valerie Locklin in sein Leben und beauftragt ihn für gutes Geld, sie zu einer kleinen Insel namens Cabatu zu bringen, auf der sie den Machenschaften des mysteriösen Wissenschaftlers Dr. Krieger auf den Grund gehen will. Kaum dort angekommen findet er sich auch schon inmitten seines schlimmsten Albtraums wieder.
